Sizzix-lepkés takaró…

Szerettem volna kipróbálni, milyen lehet egy takaró, amin egy darab egyenes szabásvonal sincs.

Így kezdődött…

I would like to try, what looks like a blanket, which doesn’t have any straight cut line. That was the beggining of the blanket with 26 colourful butterflies.

A kihívás teljesítve, de ez így még nagyon üres …. talán szórjuk tele pillangóval… valami cizellált szárnyú finomsággal 🙂

The challenge completed, but it is very empty yet… Maybe we have to scatter it with some butterfly… 

A Sizzix vágósablonok közt találtam is egy olyat amit ollóval, biztos meg sem próbáltam volna…

I made them with the Sizzix cutting template, it was easier than did it with scissors.

The butterflies was made with Sizzix cutting template which designed by Tim Holtz.

A 26 tagú család pár röpke perc alatt fel is sorakozott, már csak a helyükre kellett ragasztanom őket, majd a varrógép pelenka öltésével körbejárni egytől-egyig mindet. Na ez el is tartott jó ideig…

It is a big butterfly family with 26 members, but this making was took just some minutes. I had to stick them into their places,  then saw around with sewing machine. It was quite long time…

De aztán enyém volt a terep, már tűzhettem is!

But after the sewing come my time… The stitching…

A varrás kezdő és végső pontjában  a megerősített öltések nyomában maradó szálakat, be kell fűzni a rétegek közé, hogy véletlen se bomolhassanak fel.

In the starting and in the ending of the sewing we have to lace up the threads which remain in the wake of the stitches, that it doesn’t loosen.

A szélekhez saját anyagból készítettem a ferde szalagot, amit a munka színe felőli oldalára géppel varrtam fel, de a hátoldali varrás kézzel készült, mert úgy szebb.

I made the slant ribbons with the own textile to the edges, in the top of the blanket I sewed with machine, but in the bottom is handmade because it is more beautiful.  

Az időt, amit megspóroltam a vágógép használatával, boldogan eltöltöttem tűzéssel. Kíváncsiságból lemértem, hogy egy lepke megrajzolása és kivágása ollóval, 10 perc. Rengeteg idő…. Nekem 26 lepkém van….. és egyformák, mind a huszonhatan. Ollóval is egyformák lettek volna?

I was curious how much time to draw & cut a butterfly with scissors… It took 10 minutes…A lot of time… I had got 26 butterflies… And they are all the same. What do you think they would be all the same with scissors, too?

A tűzést mindenhol szín-azonos cérnával készítettem, hogy a színvilág megmaradhasson, csak az anyag struktúrája változzon meg.

I make the stiching with the same colour thread like the textile, so the textile’s structure changed, but the colours not.

Hátlapnak ezt a vicces, pöttyös anyagot választottam, hiszen az előlap kompozíciója is vidám, a hátlap miért ne lehetne?

Persze varrás közben alá is írtam … ott alul a jobb sarokban.

I selected this funny textile with polka dots to the bottom of the blanket, because the top of it is funny too. And I signed it in the right corner of my “workpiece”.

Hoztam egy egész alakos képet is meg, két másikat a két végéről…
